Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Indian Creek Country Club is looking for a dependable and hardworking Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and well-presented environment throughout the facility. The Janitor will be responsible for cleaning member and employee areas, restrooms, locker rooms, common areas, and other assigned spaces while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, showers, offices, hallways, and common areas. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and clean floors and surfaces. Empty trash and replace liners throughout the facility. Clean mirrors, windows, doors, fixtures, and other surfaces. Refill restroom and cleaning supplies as needed. Maintain clean and sanitary locker rooms and shower areas. Respond promptly to spills, accidents, and other cleaning needs. Assist with setup and cleanup for events and club functions. Assist with event setups and breakdowns as needed. Properly use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies. Follow all chemical-handling and workplace safety procedures. Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, leaks, or other facility concerns to management. Keep janitorial closets and storage areas clean and organized. Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous service. Work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required. Perform other cleaning and maintenance duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous janitorial, housekeeping, hotel, country club, or commercial cleaning experience preferred. Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment. Knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitation procedures. Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals. Strong attention to detail and cleanliness. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Professional and courteous attitude when interacting with others. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as required.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Requires bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing stairs. Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment. Ability to push and pull cleaning carts and equipment. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
