Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks efficiently. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas. Execute industrial cleaning tasks as needed to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Utilize floor care techniques such as buffing and waxing to keep surfaces in optimal condition. Conduct custodial duties including trash removal, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to ensure all equipment is functioning properly. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of cleaning schedules. Respond promptly to requests for cleaning services or maintenance issues from staff or management. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or needs for replenishment. Qualifications Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning preferred but not required. Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods and equipment is a plus. Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and waxing is advantageous. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
