Overview Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance & Porter, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our facilities running smoothly and looking their best! In this vital role, you'll be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our commercial and residential properties. Your proactive approach to custodial tasks and maintenance will directly contribute to an exceptional experience for staff, clients, and visitors alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in facilities upkeep while making a tangible impact every day. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to ensure high standards of cleanliness. Conduct janitorial and custodial tasks across various areas, maintaining a pristine environment at all times. Assist with general facilities maintenance including minor repairs, painting (residential or commercial), and troubleshooting basic equipment issues. Maintain cleanliness of common areas, hallways, lobbies, and outdoor spaces to promote safety and comfort. Use proper safety procedures during all cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure a secure work environment. Know how to do basic plumbing, how to hook up dishwashers, garbarge disposals, bathroom exhaust fans General home and condo maintenance Skills Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with a focus on commercial or residential environments. Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing. Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks such as painting and minor repairs efficiently. Strong understanding of industrial cleaning procedures for large-scale or specialized environments. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting. Good physical stamina to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and perform manual tasks throughout the day. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tools and safety protocols is highly desirable.
