Job Summary:

We are seeking a diligent and reliable Janitor to join our team at Comarco Products Food Production Plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facility, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for food production.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize production areas, including floors, walls, equipment, and surfaces. Empty and dispose of trash and waste in accordance with company and regulatory standards. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and report any shortages or needs to the Sanitation Manager. Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures to ensure compliance with food safety standards. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and pressure washers. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Sanitation Manager. Assist with other duties as assigned by the Sanitation Manager or other supervisory staff.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous janitorial or cleaning experience, preferably in a food production or similar environment. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices. Ability to operate and maintain cleaning equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills. Physical stamina to perform tasks that involve lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.

Working Conditions:

This position involves working in a food production environment which may include exposure to various temperatures, humidity, and production noise. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Requires standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
