Job Description
Overview Cleaning a school, general Janitorial work. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle chemical agents safely by following established safety protocols for mixing, storing, and disposing of cleaning supplies. Conduct custodial tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, and sanitation procedures to uphold hygiene standards. Operate cleaning machinery like floor buffers and industrial vacuums efficiently to maintain high-quality results. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as light repairs or painting to support overall building upkeep. Follow safety procedures diligently during heavy lifting or manual handling tasks to prevent injuries. Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly. Experience Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings is preferred. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and industrial vacuums is advantageous. Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards is essential. Experience with heavy lifting and safe lifting practices ensures efficiency without risking injury. Strong customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with staff or visitors when needed. Background in facilities maintenance or general cleaning services enhances your ability to perform a variety of custodial tasks effectively. Prior exposure to industrial cleaning or porter roles demonstrates adaptability in diverse environments. Shift open to Monday to Friday or Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 4:30 PM to 8:30
