Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This vital role involves performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure that our spaces are spotless, organized, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will bring energy and dedication to their work, contributing to a positive atmosphere for employees, visitors, and clients alike. Whether handling routine cleaning or specialized floor care, you'll play a key part in supporting the overall cleanliness and functionality of our environment. Duties Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility Conduct detailed floor care tasks such as buffing, polishing, stripping, and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance Handle industrial cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment and cleaning agents for large-scale or specialized areas Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common areas to promote hygiene and safety Assist with custodial responsibilities related to facilities maintenance, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues to maintenance teams Support residential painting projects or touch-ups as needed to uphold facility aesthetics Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure a safe working environment Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care methods including buffing and polishing Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices and basic repair skills is a plus Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Physical ability to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift Skill
