Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our members and renters. Estimated time commitment is 5 hours weekly. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all spaces, including restrooms, kitchen, office, sanctuary, meeting spaces, and classrooms. Implement proper cleaning and sanitation protocols to ensure hygiene standards are met or exceeded Remove trash from all spaces and place it in appropriate bins. Use appropriate cleaning detergents and chemicals safely. Communicate professionally with church staff and lay leaders regarding their specific cleaning needs and preferences Follow all safety guidelines related to custodial work to promote a safe working environment Qualifications Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments with janitorial or custodial expertise Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures including sanitation standards and surface care techniques Proficiency in operating standard cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, floor polishers, etc. Excellent time management skills to complete assigned tasks within scheduled timeframes Customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
