A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

What You'll Be Doing Keep classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas clean and well-maintained. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned areas. Set up and break down for school events and activities. Help maintain the campus grounds and outdoor areas. Report maintenance concerns and safety issues. Work alongside an amazing Facilities Team to keep our campus looking its best. Pitch in wherever needed—we're a team that helps each other. Physical Requirements This position requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying supplies and equipment throughout the workday. Employees may work both indoors and outdoors in Florida weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, and varying temperatures. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation is required. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous custodial, facilities, or housekeeping experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right person. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must successfully complete all required background screening and fingerprinting before employment. We believe great schools start with great people.
