A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

Treasure Coast Community Health (TCCH), a long-established and highly respected healthcare provider and Federally Qualified Health Center with locations throughout Indian River County, FL is seeking a Custodian to join our team. The Custodian ensures the overall cleanliness and maintenance of one or more of the TCCH Vero Beach, Fellsmere and /or Sebastian office sites as per specific employment opening
Key Responsibilities:
Vacuum carpets Wipe (with disinfectant) patient care area counters and sinks. Clean building; emptying trash, sweeping, & cleaning surfaces. Sweep and mop floors. Empty regular (inside) trash Dust and straighten waiting room and children's play area. Check dispenser levels (paper towels, toilet paper, and soap) and refill as necessary. Clean break room. Wipe table, coffee pot area, water cooler and sink. Secure building. Check all locks. Turn off all lights and equipment. Set alarm prior to leaving. Clean lobby and disinfect lobby chairs Clean bathrooms with disinfectants Take entrance mats outside and vacuum Clean glass on front entrance doors Empty outside trash receptacles Wet mop tile floors with disinfectant; mop wood laminate floors with neutral cleaner Sweep outside entrances. Clean receptionist windows Dust for cobwebs. Dust air-conditioning vents. Wipe employee refrigerator Coordinate outside lights with the time changes and/or seasons (maintenance staff sets the timer) Maintain supply levels in storage. Order as required / let Site Manager know Wash walls and doors as needed. Wash outside windows 3-4 times per year. Wash waiting room windows monthly. Other Duties as assigned.
