Job Description

At Rood and Riddle, a stall cleaner plays an integral role in helping maintain the hospital's cleanliness and function. This position requires a motivated, detail oriented, and caring individual.
Job Responsibilities :
the responsibilities include, but are not limited to…
  • Maintaining stall upkeep every 3 hours
  • Accurately monitor/document patient output
  • Resetting/stripping and washing stalls
  • Keeping barn aisles and sidewalks free from debris
  • Adhere to all biosecurity protocols, such as the correct use of protective gear, proper cleaning and sterilization of instruments, equipment and work areas, and appropriate disposal of used material and waste
Schedule:
  • Full-time or Part-time.
Seasonal. Morning shift. Weekend and evening shift differential.
Requirements:
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US
  • Must speak English
  • Ability to work with or around sick animals, potentially hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, gas anesthetics, and unpleasant odors
  • Team oriented approach
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to confidentiality protocols
Skills Preferred:
  • Ability to work independently and practice good judgment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively at all times
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and be an active participant in problem solving
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations, troubleshoot problems, and make sound judgments is crucial in a fast-paced equine hospital environment
  • Work well with minimal supervision.
  • Prioritizes tasks appropriately according to importance and urgency. Time management.
  • Efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong dedicated work ethic
