In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our premises. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure that all areas are kept in excellent condition, supporting the overall efficiency and professionalism of our operations. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, adhering to all safety protocols and handling instructions Operate floor buffers and other custodial equipment to maintain high standards of floor care and buffing Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, mopping, sweeping, and disinfecting surfaces Assist with light maintenance duties including minor repairs and ensuring facilities are well-maintained and safe for staff and visitors Follow safe lifting practices during heavy lifting tasks involving supplies or equipment to prevent injuries Support industrial cleaning projects or residential painting tasks as needed to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility Requirements Proven experience in cleaning or custodial roles with a strong understanding of commercial or industrial cleaning procedures Familiarity with handling chemical agents safely and using custodial equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices Prior janitorial or facilities maintenance experience is preferred; additional porter experience is highly valued Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift Join us in creating a clean, safe environment where everyone feels comfortable!
