Job Title:
Janitor / Custodian (Part-Time) Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and experienced Janitor/Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment within our facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties while ensuring all areas meet company standards. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of commercial cleaning experience (Required) Must be authorized to work in the United States High school diploma or equivalent Ability to pass a drug screening Strong work ethic with dependable attendance Background checks is requried before employment Key Responsibilities Clean and maintain designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom sanitation, ceiling vents, etc.) Perform and document routine inspections and maintenance tasks Complete heavy-duty cleaning and special projects as assigned Notify management of maintenance issues or repair needs Perform minor repairs and adjustments when needed Stock and organize supply rooms Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures Safely use chemical cleaners and cleaning equipment Empty trash and ensure proper disposal, including the use of compactors when required Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces Spot clean carpets and assist with carpet extraction and shampooing Replenish paper products and supplies Follow assigned housekeeping schedules Operate commercial cleaning equipment (floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, etc.) Perform other duties as assigned based on client needs Skills & Qualifications Reliable, dependable, and punctual Ability to work independently and follow directions Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and safety procedures (MSDS familiarity preferred) Ability to operate heavy equipment and machinery Honest, trustworthy, and detail-oriented Strong teamwork and communication skills Training 2-week paid training provided
