Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a pristine and safe environment across our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall upkeep of commercial or residential spaces. Your proactive approach will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for employees, clients, and visitors alike. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to keep all areas tidy and sanitary Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners to maintain high standards of cleanliness Handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation procedures in accordance with chemical handling safety protocols Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, and equipment following safe lifting practices Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and floor care techniques to ensure a professional appearance Follow safety protocols diligently during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or injuries Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or minor repairs when needed Skills Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles with knowledge of commercial or residential cleaning standards Skilled in the use of cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools Strong understanding of chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation practices Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to proper manual handling techniques Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods and facilities maintenance tasks Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols consistently for a safe working environment Join our team as a Janitor/Cleaner and play a vital role in creating clean, safe, and welcoming spaces!
