A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Position Summary:
The Porter provides excellent cleaning services, often requiring the need to interact with customer and prioritize work based on the customer daily work needs. This role requires work to be completed in high volume and heavy traffic sites, or as an onsite individual crew member, where successful daily customer interaction and fulfillment of related requests, within the scope of site work, is key. The Porter works directly with the customer daily and maintain excellent customer relations while executing customer requests and meeting daily janitorial duties. Ability to lift and move totes up to 49 pounds Walking in and around the facility with great frequency throughout the entire shift Must be able to stand and walk for up to 10-12 hours Ability to carry out detailed, or written instructions Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling for chemicals sheets/documents (generally in English; may have in Spanish where state required) Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers KBS utilizes the KBSPresence mobile timekeeping software for accurate recording of employee work hours, attendance management, completion of required training, and distribution of important employment-related information.
