Night Shift Custodian

Summary As a Night Shift Custodian, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Working independently during evening and overnight hours, you will be responsible for general custodial tasks, floor care, and facility upkeep. Your skills in industrial cleaning, maintenance, and floor care will help ensure our spaces are ready for use each day.

Pay:

$18.25 per hour + $5.50 H&W ($18.72 differential after 9:30PM)

Schedule:

4PM-12PM , Monday-Friday (weekends as needed) Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning, including sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting of floors, halls, stairways, offices, and public areas. Empty and replace trash liners, clean waste receptacles, and maintain restroom supplies and fixtures. Clean furniture, desks, windows, doors, walls, chalkboards/whiteboards, and other surfaces. Set up and rearrange rooms, move furniture, and assist with special projects as needed.

Deep clean and maintain floors:

strip, wax, buff, and shampoo carpets. Lock/unlock buildings, monitor security during shift, and report malfunctions or unusual occurrences. Inspect, maintain, and properly use custodial equipment and tools; report malfunctions. Safely mix and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with manufacturer and OSHA guidelines. Maintain both indoor and outdoor areas; perform tasks requiring lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling. Ensure quality standards and contract specifications are met through self-monitoring. Participate in company training programs to maintain and improve skills. Uphold confidentiality of information and observe all safety rules and regulations. Provide courteous communication with staff or customers, addressing concerns professionally. Maintain regular, reliable attendance and report to work on time for all scheduled shifts. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Ability to work independently during overnight hours. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Positive, team-oriented attitude with good communication skills.
