Job Description
The Sanitation worker will maintain the facility cleanliness and practice GMPs while maintaining the upkeep of the facility
Specific Accountabilities:
Learn, practice, and adhere to all written current good manufacturing processes (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as they apply to cleaning and sanitizing of manufacturing equipment, facilities, and all general areas Learn, practice, and adhere to all Safety and Quality Policies and Procedures Read, understand, and follow manufacturers directions for all chemicals used in the process of sanitizing manufacturing equipment Properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to safeguard against exposure to chemicals, electrical hazards, and eye and ear hazards Maintains daily logs directly associated with specifically assigned areas, and report any deviations to the Manager Assists with various bathroom duties (i e : excessive water clean-up, replacing light bulbs, re-filling toilet seat covers, spot check and clean restrooms as needed, monitor lunch/break room area and clean as necessary throughout the process of normal operating hours) Maintain the facility and grounds (i e : weeding, trash removal, and overall cleanliness of area outside building, including snow removal) on a daily basis and responsible for maintaining the appropriate logs, report any deviations to the Manager Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment to ensure efficiency, employee safety, and product integrity Follow all quality and food safety policies and procedures Demonstrate good judgment by reacting to unsafe acts or conditions immediately by making them safe or reporting them to those who can correct them Work in other areas, as needed Performs all other duties as assignedQualifications:
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude Able to tolerate working in a cold, wet, and humid environment Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices Ability to work as part of a team to complete tasks and reach the targets set for the team High school diploma or GED required Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standardsSimilar jobs in College Park, GA
