Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or health hazards. Conduct custodial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure optimal hygiene standards. Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and applying appropriate floor care techniques to preserve their appearance and longevity. Operate cleaning equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols for manual handling and heavy lifting to prevent injuries. Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks including basic repairs or reporting issues that require specialized attention. Support industrial cleaning projects or residential painting tasks as needed, demonstrating versatility in custodial responsibilities. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred. Familiarity with cleaning procedures involving chemical agents and safety protocols is essential. Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools is advantageous. Knowledge of sanitation standards and facilities maintenance practices helps ensure consistent quality of work. Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while lifting heavy objects or equipment is required.
