Work Shift Evening (United States of America) Environmental Services Technician Housekeeper Full Time Evenings Great Benefits!!! This role is responsible for providing comprehensive environmental services support, including routine, terminal, and isolation cleaning in specialized hospital areas such as Operating Rooms, CATH Labs, GI Labs, Labor & Delivery Suites, Pharmacy Compounding Labs, and other critical care environments. The position ensures strict compliance with infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key responsibilities include:
Performing routine, terminal, and isolation room cleaning following established protocols. Handling, transporting, and disposing of various waste streams, including biohazard, chemotherapy, pharmaceutical, and solid waste. Operating Ultra Violet (UV) disinfection equipment safely and effectively. Replacing and managing sharps, biohazard, chemotherapy, and pharmacy waste containers. Following infection prevention guidelines, proper chemical usage, PPE requirements, and safe lifting practices. Utilizing the Epic system to support patient flow and bed management. Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining positive interactions with patients, families, visitors, and staff. Supporting team projects, departmental initiatives, and performance improvement efforts. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. Previous environmental services or related experience preferred. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must successfully complete the departmental training program within the first 30 days of employment. Strong customer service, communication, and teamwork skills are essential.
