This is an afternoon shift starting between 2pm and 5pm Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cleaning Staff Member to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure a hygienic, organized, and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and clients alike. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to the overall well-being and operational efficiency of our organization. Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting all designated areas such as offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces. Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely according to established protocols to ensure effective sanitation without compromising safety. Maintain cleanliness standards by inspecting work areas regularly and addressing any issues promptly to uphold facility appearance and hygiene standards. Follow all safety protocols related to chemical handling, equipment operation, and manual handling procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Provide excellent customer service by responding courteously to staff or visitor inquiries related to cleanliness or facility maintenance needs. Support sanitation efforts during special cleaning projects or after events to ensure spaces are restored quickly and efficiently. Qualifications Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with a strong understanding of commercial or industrial cleaning practices is a plus but not required. Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning equipment is a plus but not required.. Familiarity with sanitation standards, facilities maintenance, and general custodial responsibilities is a plus but not required.. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards across diverse environments. Strong communication skills coupled with customer service orientation to effectively interact with staff and visitors.
