Night shift (starts 5:00 PM), typically includes evenings and possible weekends Job Summary We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented commercial janitorial cleaner to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards at our client sites during the evening/night shift. This role is responsible for completing daily cleaning tasks, maintaining restrooms and common areas, and ensuring a safe, professional environment. Key Responsibilities Clean and sanitize offices, hallways, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas Empty trash/recycling and replace liners Vacuum carpets and clean hard floors (sweeping/mopping as assigned) Clean and disinfect restrooms (toilets, sinks, mirrors, counters) Restock supplies (paper towels, soap, toilet paper) as needed Wipe down surfaces including desks (as permitted), doors, handles, countertops, and fixtures Perform spot-cleaning and maintain high-touch area sanitation Operate and care for cleaning equipment (e.g., vacuum, floor scrubber/buffer if applicable) Follow all safety procedures, chemical handling instructions, and PPE requirements Ensure tasks are completed to schedule and meet quality standards Report maintenance issues, damage, or supply shortages to the supervisor Required Qualifications Prior janitorial/cleaning experience preferred (but not required) Ability to work independently and follow checklists/quality standards Strong attention to detail and time management Willingness to work a night schedule starting at 5:00 PM Ability to lift and carry up to [X] lbs (commonly 25-50 lbs) and move cleaning equipment Reliable transportation to the job site(s) Preferred Qualifications (Optional) Experience with commercial cleaning in offices, medical, retail, or industrial settings Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safe usage Experience using floor scrubbers/buffers or commercial vacuum systems Physical / Work Requirements Standing, walking, bending, and using cleaning tools throughout the shift Ability to lift trash bins and handle cleaning supplies Work may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals (with proper PPE) Work Environment Indoor commercial spaces Noise levels vary by location Some tasks may be performed after normal business hours Pay & Benefits Pay rate: $15.00-$17.00 How to Apply To apply, please submit your resume or basic work history and availability for night shift work.
