Lead Sanitation Worker Engelman's Bakery - 3.4 Norcross, GA Job Details Full-time From $20 an hour 8 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Bakery experience Baking English High school diploma or GED Waste transport Full Job Description The Sanitation Lead is responsible for leading the sanitation crew on the sanitation and cleaning throughout the interior of the facility and the offices to exact company standards. The cleanliness and safety of the facility is dependent upon the Sanitation Lead.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for making sure the work area is cleaned and sanitized. Including, but not limited to transporting waste and garbage in a safe, effective and environmentally friendly manner. All procedures and practices used are grounded in standards, regulations and laws addressing food safety and food quality. Helps develop and execute a master sanitation plan. Schedules activities of the sanitation workers in coordinating with other supervisors. Monitors and evaluates the sanitation workers activities. Ensures workers are using sanitation chemicals and equipment in a safe, efficient, and economic manner. Performs all facility cleaning and sanitation activities on all equipment and in all departments. Executes the sanitation and cleaning plan for daily, weekly and monthly sanitation in all parts of the facility as directed. Primary focus of keeping the work environment clean, safe and positive. Assists production other duties as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
High School Diploma preferred. Ability to understand and apply to production baking charts and production schedules. Ability to maintain attention to detail while working in a fast paced environment. Ability to be flexible and maintain confidence when changes arise. Ability to work successfully with a team. Ability to learn and apply company standards including, but not limited to, lock-out/tag-out, safety practices, GMPs, employee handbook, etc. Ability to understand and communicate instructions in English. Understanding of temperature control methods. Understanding of basic heat related illness prevention. Minimum two years' experience in a bakery environment preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL FACTORS
Workers exposed to temperatures above 90 degrees for periods of more than one hour during summer months. Workers are exposed to hazards in the workplace such as close proximity to equipment conducting extreme heat, and moving parts. Worker required to push and/or pull 350 lbs. (fully loaded oven bread rack). Worker required to work continuously in a hot humid environment. Must be able to maintain a quick and steady pace when moving baking racks in and out of ovens. Must be able to keep a positive attitude and high level of motivation in order to ensure the highest quality of bread all the time. Must be flexible and willing to work any shift, time, day or holiday.
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week
