1st Shift Janitor

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various offices, restrooms, shop areas, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks effectively. Responsibilities Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping and mopping floors. Conduct floor care tasks such as buffing and polishing to maintain the appearance of surfaces. Carry out commercial cleaning in offices, restrooms, and common areas to ensure hygiene standards are met. Assist with custodial duties in both office and industrial settings as needed. Maintain cleanliness of facilities by removing trash and materials, and ensuring proper disposal methods are followed. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly. Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used properly and stored safely after use. Report cleaning supply needs to purchasing department as needed Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of cleanliness across all areas. Qualifications Previous experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred but not required. Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and industrial cleaning standards is advantageous. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Willingness to learn new skills related to facilities maintenance is welcomed.
