A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Job Summary The Custodian is responsible for the daily appearance and cleanliness of the Treutlen Head Start center and grounds. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Center Manager. This position is full-time, Monday-Friday from 7:00 am-3:30 pm. A high-school diploma or GED is required. Key Responsibilities Responsible for inventory and ordering janitorial supplies. Responsible for securing janitorial supplies and other hazardous materials. Responsible for overall cleanliness and safety at the center and the center grounds, report any safety and maintenance issues to the Center Manager immediately. Minimum Requirements of the Position Must have high school diploma or equivalent First Aid/CPR certification required Must be a US citizen; have a Permanent Resident Card, or an alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-551) Must have and maintain a clean driving record (NOT
