As an Environmental Services Worker II, you will directly support patient care by maintaining high sanitation standards across the hospital. Your work ensures comfort, safety, and dignity for every individual who walks through our doors.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of patient rooms, restrooms, common areas, and hospital facilities using approved disinfectants Collect, transport, and dispose of regular, infectious, and pathological waste in accordance with safety protocols Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including floor care machines for stripping, waxing, and carpet maintenance Restock supplies such as paper products, soap, and linens to ensure continuous availability Clean and disinfect specialized areas including isolation rooms, intensive care units, and surgical suites while following strict safety procedures Move and handle furniture, beds, and equipment safely to ensure thorough cleaning of all areas

0 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) positions assigned to 8 hour shifts. Accruals for these benefits are otherwise prorated based on FTE. Pre-Employment Health Requirements Offers of employment will be contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment examination, which includes a drug screen and other regulatory medical requirements such as, but not limited to, a tuberculosis (TB) screen. The cost for drug screening and blood draw for QuantiFERON and Titers, shall be borne by the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation.
