Experienced Wood Flooring Sand & Refinish Technician

Overview We are seeking a skilled and energetic Experienced Wood Flooring Sand & Refinish Technician and Wood Flooring Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring and revitalizing hardwood floors through expert sanding, refinishing, and finishing techniques. Your expertise will help transform worn or damaged flooring into beautiful, durable surfaces that enhance the aesthetic appeal of residential and commercial spaces. Duties Prepare floors by removing old finishes, cleaning surfaces, and ensuring proper sanding techniques are applied for a smooth base. Operate sanding machines and other equipment safely and efficiently to achieve desired surface levels. Apply sealers and finishes with precision to enhance the wood's appearance and durability. Perform detailed inspections of floors to identify repairs needed before refinishing. Maintain cleanliness of work area by performing routine janitorial tasks such as sweeping, dusting, and debris removal during and after projects. Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure timely completion of flooring refinishing projects. Follow safety protocols diligently while handling chemicals, machinery, and tools to maintain a safe work environment. Requirements Proven experience in wood floor sanding, refinishing, and finishing techniques. Strong knowledge of floor care practices including cleaning, buffing, and maintenance procedures. Ability to operate industrial sanding equipment and related tools safely and effectively. Familiarity with environmental services standards related to chemical handling and waste disposal. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship. Physical ability to stand, bend, lift heavy materials, and perform manual tasks throughout the workday.
