Environmental Services What You'll Do Hours:
11:30 am to 8 pm
Schedule:
every 5th weekend and one holiday year $4 shift differential for half shift As a Housekeeper, you will play an essential role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and team members. You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection prevention throughout the organization while delivering excellent customer service. In this role, you will: Perform daily, weekly, discharge, and project cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, clinical areas, waiting rooms, lobbies, and restrooms. Follow all infection prevention and control protocols, including proper hand hygiene, standard precautions, and isolation procedures. Utilize cleaning chemicals and supplies safely and appropriately according to established procedures. Maintain knowledge of proper chemical handling, usage, and storage requirements. Set up rooms and move furniture as needed to support patient care and operational needs. Collect, transport, and properly dispose of trash and hazardous waste. Assist with clean and soiled linen distribution and collection when laundry personnel are unavailable. Restock housekeeping carts and replenish supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and other essential items throughout the facility. Work collaboratively with coworkers, managers, and healthcare team members to support patient safety and exceptional customer service. Respond appropriately during emergency situations, including fires, drills, and internal or external emergency codes. Maintain compliance with all hospital, state, and federal policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Perform all other duties as assigned.
