An Environmental Services Worker maintains the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the facility in which they work. They do so by performing a range of cleaning tasks, from mopping and floor buffing to room sanitizing and waste disposal
(non-exempt) Clean all areas of the health center.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduate preferred but not required Experience in cleaning preferred but not required Must have a record of dependability On-the-job orientation is given Must be able to change routine/schedule as necessary due to patient & department needs

Reports to the Environmental Services Manager, or designated shift lead

POSITION-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Daily cleaning of carts, closets, and equipment. Responsible for re-stocking supplies. Wear appropriate PPE for infection control and personal protection as required, depending on situation(s). As assigned, cleaning patient rooms including dismissals. Strip patient beds upon discharge. As assigned, clean public and employee's restrooms and replace supplies. As assigned, clean gift shop and mail room As assigned, clean RT area including Sleep Lab. As assigned, cleaning of dialysis - removal of linen, red bags, recycle, trash. Clean lavatories, toilet bowls, polish mirrors, chrome fixtures, fill paper towels, toilet tissues, liquid soap and empty wastebaskets/replace plastic liners. Damp dust all vertical, horizontal areas, furniture, lights, windows/sills, door frames, and T.V. Vacuum and spot clean all carpets. Dust and wet mop all hard floors with detergent germicide solution. Must observe rules of confidentiality and HIPAA concerning patient rights. Must know how to dispense all chemicals. Run scrubbers and buffers, when needed or as assigned. Computer knowledge, to complete required annual trainings. Duties may include being on call as needed to cover areas after scheduled ES staff have left. Will not access areas not assigned to them unless specifically asked by the manager or lead person. Attends all required meetings and in-services. Regular and punctual attendance. Performs other related duties as requested/required; which may include assisting with laundry.
