A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

Creighton University's Retreat Center in Griswold, IA is seeking to hire a Custodian . Acts as Housekeeper and cleans the cabins, conference rooms, and assists in providing upkeep in outdoor areas. This position launders the bed linens & towels and provides deep cleaning of indoor and outdoor spaces on a regular basis. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. This position is very active and requires walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift and move items up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Work 20 hours/week typically Monday through Thursday. Occasional Friday through Sunday hours may be needed.
Qualifications:
