What they do

A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

What We Are Seeking:
The Iowa Department of Public Defense is hiring a Custodial Worker position to assist the State of Iowa at Camp Dodge for the Iowa National Guard, 7105 NW 70 th Ave, Johnston, IA 50131. We are searching for a hardworking, dependable individual to join our team! Candidates must possess a valid driver's license.

What You'll Do:
Perform custodial duties in buildings and offices on Camp Dodge. Maintain custodial equipment. Maintain adequate stockage of cleaning supplies and submit request for supplies as needed for routine or special requirements. Maintain effective communication and professional relationship with customers, employees and management.
Work hours:
7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday, hours may vary with work assignments/and some weekend assignments to provide additional base support.
