Job Description & Responsibilities
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented individual to join our facilities team as a Full-Time Evening Custodian at Washington Elementary. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and community members.
Cleaning & Sanitation:
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors. Dust and sanitize classrooms, desks, restrooms, hallways, and common areas daily.
Facility Security:
Ensure the building is properly locked and secured at the conclusion of the evening shift.
Waste Management:
Empty trash, recycling, and compost receptacles regularly.
Maintenance & Setup:
Assist with minor building maintenance tasks.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety guidelines regarding the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous commercial cleaning or custodial experience is a plus, but not required (training will be provided).
Ability to handle physical workloads, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing/walking for extended periods, and bending/reaching.
Strong reliability, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently during evening hours.
Must pass a background check.
