A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Are you honest, reliable, and have exceptional work ethic? If you are someone who works best with little to no supervision, then this is the position for you. We are seeking a Janitor . As the Janitor, you directly affect the overall cleanliness of the gym and how our members perceive our company. This position is responsible for cleaning of fitness equipment, locker rooms, bathrooms, tanning beds, cardio cinema, and general furnishings of the areas assigned by the General Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates and promotes a strong commitment to provide the highest level of cleanliness with a high level of attention to detail Cleans the facilities according to club procedures and standards Sanitizes and stocks bathrooms, locker rooms, gym equipment, and all other public areas within the gym Responsible for the removal of all garbage daily Vacuums, sweeps, and mop floors as needed Completes daily and weekly cleaning as well as maintenance tasks as assigned Reports all maintenance issues to the General Manager Attends all scheduled staff meetings and required training Supports all company policies, initiatives, contests and events Maintains and reports any out of stock items as needed Punctuality and reliability is a must. Must be organized, self-motivated and have a positive attitude
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to bend, reach, and stand for long periods of time Observant and detail orientated while staying attentive to current surroundings Self-motivated and able to work with little to no supervision Possess excellent organization and time management skills Prior custodial experience is preferred, but we will train the right person
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Continual standing and walking during shift Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling and crouching during shift Must be able to occasionally lift over 45 pounds Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals
Schedule:
