Job Description
RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Janitorial Worker in Byron, IL. This is a short-term contract Plant Site assignment with our client. This position offers a competitive package. Overview of YOUR role as a Janitorial Worker As a Janitorial Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility. This role requires a dependable individual who takes pride in their work and can perform routine cleaning tasks to ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment. As a Janitorial Worker YOU will:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the facility
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, and equipment
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
- Restock restroom supplies and cleaning materials
- Report maintenance issues and safety hazards to supervisor
- Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals properly
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies
- Perform other cleaning duties as assigned YOU are the ideal Janitorial Worker candidate if you have:
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products and equipment
- Good communication skills It's a BONUS if you have:
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience
- Experience in industrial or commercial cleaning environments
