You will ensure that all spaces are hygienic, well-maintained, and compliant with safety standards, contributing to a positive experience for staff, clients, and visitors alike. Your proactive approach to custodial tasks will help uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety across our facilities. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks to move furniture, supplies, or equipment in accordance with safe lifting practices. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, supply inventories, and safety inspections to ensure compliance with health regulations. Operate cleaning machinery including vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners to ensure optimal floor care and maintenance. Follow established safety protocols during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as residential painting or light repairs when needed. Assist in apartment flips, furniture removal, lawn and property upkeep, as well as any other minor repair task that needs done. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and custodial equipment operation. Ability to handle chemical agents safely in accordance with safety protocol adherence. Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness records. Customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary.
