Part Time Janitorial Cleaner - Dekalb Area

Looking for help in the Dekalb area on a part time basis per each location for cleaning. Flexible option for someone looking to pick up additional weekly hours Part time work evenings Flexible start time We are currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to join our team as a General Cleaner in the Dekalb, IL Area. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, flexible and has reliable transportation. A General Cleaner is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing various spaces which could include offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, medical exam rooms, locker rooms, and public areas. Responsibilities Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc) Gather and empty trash Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs Make adjustments and minor repairs Stock and maintain supply rooms Cooperate with the rest of the staff Follow all health and safety regulations Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and equipment Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment & more Flexible in schedule to work 1-5 nights a week or day depending on job offered. Also willing to work on weekends as required of any job hired for. Availability to be on call for last minute cleaning opportunities outside of the hired position. And more. Skills Proven working experience as a cleaner is a plus Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery Working entire shift walking & bending over as necessary to complete cleaning tasks Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets Integrity Great communication. Letting your supervisor know what time you will be onsite to clean. Letting your supervisor know immediately if you cannot clean that day so someone can fill in. Other Valid driver's license preferred and ability to get to cleaning locations with own vehicle/transportation. Experience with floor scrubbing/cleaning machines is additionally beneficial.
