A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Monday through Friday — 5:00 PM to Midnight — Full-Time Nights, No Weekends About Positively Clean Positively Clean is a locally owned cleaning company based in Wood River, IL — founded in 2021 to make homes and workplaces a more positive place. We hire W-2 employees , not 1099 contractors — real paychecks, paid training, paid time off, and a real career path. Our team is led by Joanna Allen, our General Manager. We've added a new nightly commercial account and are building a dedicated evening crew to run it. These are two new full-time positions on a brand-new team. What You'll Love About This Job Full-time nights, Monday through Friday, 5:00 PM to midnight — minimum 32 hours a week No weekends. Your Saturdays and Sundays are yours. Same buildings, same route, every night — you learn the work and own it W-2 employee with paid time off accrued from day one Paid training provided Work as part of a small evening crew Ground-floor spot on a new team, with room to move up as we grow What This Job Is NOT Not a side gig — this is a primary full-time job with set hours Not a maintenance or handyman role — you will not be doing repairs Not a rotating or on-call schedule — the shift is the same five nights a week Not residential — our night crew cleans commercial buildings, not private homes Responsibilities Perform evening cleaning of assigned commercial buildings following our proven cleaning system Work as part of an evening crew across multiple buildings on one site Restock supplies and report anything that needs attention Secure the buildings correctly at the end of the shift Communicate professionally with your crew and your supervisor Requirements Live within approximately 30 minutes of Wood River, IL (Madison County focus) Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle Must pass a background check with a clear result — required for after-hours access to client buildings (screening provided at no cost to applicant) Available Monday-Friday, 5:00 PM to midnight Positive attitude and strong work ethic Able to perform physical work (lifting, bending, standing) Compensation & Benefits $18-$22 per hour (W-2, paid biweekly) Paid training Paid time off accrued from day one Opportunities for advancement as PC grows About Our Team At Positively Clean, our mission is simple: make homes and workplaces a more positive place.
