The purpose of this position is to maintain clean, safe, and well-kept College facilities by performing a variety of custodial and building support duties in assigned areas. This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining floors, restrooms, carpets, furniture, and other building areas; removing trash and snow; operating custodial equipment; and assisting with room setups and the movement of materials as needed. The position helps ensure that College facilities are maintained in a clean, orderly, and welcoming condition for students, employees, and visitors.Summary of the position:
Primary responsibilities include cleaning duties in assigned areas following the standards set by the College. Typical duties include dust mopping, sweeping, wet mopping, vacuuming, dusting, waxing, cleaning restrooms, removing trash, polishing furniture, cleaning high places requiring the use of ladders and extension poles, using motor driven equipment to strip, scrub, and polish floors, vacuuming and shampooing carpet. Additional responsibilities include removing snow from building entrances, assisting in moving heavy items, and setting up rooms for conferencesKey Responsibilities:
