Job Description

!! Job Summary This position will use a variety of chemicals and sanitation equipment to clean and sanitize food processing equipment. Essential Functions- Remove all debris from machinery, floors, and contact points prior to cleaning.
- Pre-rinse machinery and contact surfaces.
- Foam scrub and rinse the entire processing room (i.e. walls, floors, food contact surfaces, equipment) prior to sanitizing.
- Make sure all electrical equipment is bagged prior to liquid use. Ensure aisle ways and raw material storage area are swept and trash cans dumped.
- Handle chemicals used in the process of cleaning and sanitation by following safety procedures.
- Maintain and proper use of equipment.
- Observe and follow GMPs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs)
- Complete all daily paperwork required.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Skills & Qualifications
- At least 25 years of age or older
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Detail-oriented.
- Able to follow verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work as a team player and ability to work independently.
- Time management skills. Education & Experience
- Prior food plant sanitation experience is preferred, but not required.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent years of experience preferred but not required.
