Full-Time BG Staffing is currently seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Porter/Janitor to support a busy apartment community in Park Forest, IL 60466. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments for residents and guests. As a Porter/Janitor, you will play a key role in the overall appearance and cleanliness of the community. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently while supporting the property management and maintenance teams. Key Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the apartment community, including common areas, amenities, leasing office, hallways, and grounds.

Perform daily janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal.

Ensure community grounds remain clean and free of debris.

Assist with apartment make-ready projects and unit preparation as needed.

Support maintenance staff with property upkeep and miscellaneous tasks.

Monitor common areas for safety concerns and report maintenance issues promptly.

Clean and maintain laundry rooms, fitness centers, clubhouses, and other shared resident spaces.

Assist with seasonal property needs, including general grounds maintenance.

Deliver exceptional customer service when interacting with residents, visitors, and vendors.

Follow all community safety procedures and company policies.

Qualifications

Previous janitorial, porter, groundskeeping, custodial, or apartment community experience preferred.

Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, walking, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.

Ability to work independently and efficiently.

Positive attitude and strong customer service skills.

Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
