• 9:00 PM | Quincy, IL | $15.00/hr The School Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and physical upkeep of Chaddock facilities, particularly the Education Center. The role ensures buildings are clean, orderly, secure, and meet health and safety standards. This is a steady, Monday-Friday daytime schedule, with occasional emergency coverage as needed. Key Responsibilities
• School Custodian Daily Custodial Care Perform daily custodial tasks: cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, trash removal, floor care, window washing, and light bulb replacement.

Preventative Maintenance & Grounds Conduct preventative maintenance and seasonal grounds work (e.g., snow removal, debris clearing). Supplies & Documentation Restock and maintain custodial supplies and inventory. Complete and document custodial requests and maintenance tasks. Communication & Event Support Communicate facility needs and updates with the Associate Director of Operations. Prepare for special events and activities as needed. Professional Conduct & Compliance Uphold agency policies, safety protocols, and green cleaning standards. Project a professional and positive image to all guests, staff, and visitors. What Makes You a Great Fit Hands-on maintenance and custodial experience, ideally 2+ years in a school or similar setting. Strong attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are consistently met. Ability to manage time efficiently and follow cleaning schedules and assigned tasks. Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment, tools, and safe chemical usage . Physically able to handle lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods.
