Job Description

Do Right Services is seeking an experienced, bilingual Commercial Cleaning Supervisor to lead our custodial operations at Cantigny Park. This position is responsible for overseeing all daily cleaning operations, supervising janitorial staff, maintaining quality standards, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, and delivering exceptional customer service. The Commercial Cleaning Manager serves as the primary on-site leader, creating a positive work environment while ensuring the facility consistently meets the high standards expected by both Do Right Services and Cantigny Park. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and motivate a team of janitorial employees to foster a positive, respectful, and productive work environment. Oversee daily cleaning operations to ensure all buildings, public spaces, and facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation. Conduct routine inspections and quality audits to verify work performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Maintain consistent communication with site staff through daily meetings, coaching, and operational updates. Develop work schedules, monitor staffing levels, track employee hours, and manage attendance, vacations, and leave requests. Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of cleaning staff. Ensure all employees receive proper instruction on cleaning procedures, equipment operation, safety protocols, and customer service expectations. Respond promptly to operational issues, customer concerns, and emergency staffing needs, including providing shift coverage when necessary. Coordinate periodic cleaning projects and develop advance schedules for seasonal and specialty cleaning tasks. Work collaboratively with the Quality Control Manager to monitor inventory and ensure cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment are properly stocked and maintained. Perform routine inspections of equipment and report maintenance or repair needs. Prepare and submit weekly operational reports, facility observations, and monthly maintenance updates to the General Manager. Enforce company policies regarding uniforms, attendance, safety, and employee conduct. Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Build and maintain positive working relationships with Cantigny Park management, staff, and visitors. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the General Manager. Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish (required). Previous commercial cleaning and facility maintenance experience required. Prior supervisory or management experience within janitorial or facilities services preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead diverse teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm under pressure. Demonstrated ability to coach employees, manage performance, resolve conflict, and lead difficult conversations professionally. Dependable, punctual, and committed to delivering exceptional service. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with management and client representatives. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-ins as needed. Valid driver's license, current vehicle registration, and proof of insurance. Ability to travel throughout the Chicagoland area when required.
Pay:
$25.06 - $30.17 per hour
