A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Custodian Vestil Manufacturing, a fourth-generation family-owned business and a prominent figure in material handling equipment production, is currently looking for a meticulous Custodian to join our team. This position does require a Hepatitis B Vaccination. Duties/Responsibilities Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or using the Kaivac machine Clean break area floors and tables Gather and empty trash Service, clean and maintain facility Make adjustments and minor repairs Use and mix water and detergents or cleaners in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs and additions to building operating systems Maintain cleaning supply rooms, monitor supplies and stock supplies Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties Skills/Knowledge/Job Requirements Hepatitis B Vaccination required Must have a valid driver's license Drive vehicles required to perform or travel to cleaning work Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis Must be able to bend, twist, squat repetitively throughout work day Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English See and hear within reasonably acceptable limits, this includes the ability to see at a distance and peripherally Use time management skills and prioritization to accomplish the day's tasks in the hours provided Must be self-motivated as much of the day is unsupervised This is a 40 hour per week position and may require mandatory overtime hours Must be 18 years of age or older
