Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment such as floor buffers and custodial tools. Handle chemical agents safely by following established chemical handling safety procedures to ensure a hazard-free environment. Operate cleaning equipment efficiently, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and scrubbers to maintain optimal cleanliness. Conduct routine sanitation tasks such as trash removal, dusting, mopping, window washing, and surface disinfection to uphold hygiene standards. Assist with light maintenance tasks like minor repairs or painting to support overall facilities upkeep. Follow safety protocols diligently during heavy lifting or manual handling activities to prevent injuries. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to cleaning requests or concerns from staff or visitors while maintaining a positive attitude. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings with knowledge of proper cleaning techniques. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools. Ability to handle chemical agents safely by adhering to chemical handling safety procedures. Strong manual handling skills with an understanding of safe lifting practices for heavy objects or equipment. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to sanitation and cleanliness standards. Good communication skills for effective customer service and team collaboration. Prior experience in facilities maintenance or Porter roles is a plus; additional knowledge of flooring care and buffing is desirable.
