Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaning Technician to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across various commercial and institutional facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in janitorial and custodial services, with a focus on delivering high-quality cleaning standards. A strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail are key qualities for success in this position. Responsibilities Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal to ensure cleanliness of assigned areas Conduct floor care tasks such as buffing, stripping, and waxing to maintain high standards of flooring appearance Carry out carpet cleaning procedures using appropriate equipment and solutions Maintain restrooms and common areas by disinfecting surfaces and replenishing supplies Operate cleaning machinery and tools safely and efficiently Follow established safety protocols and environmental guidelines during all cleaning activities Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly Adhere to scheduled cleaning routines and special project requirements as needed Skills Proven experience in janitorial or custodial services, preferably in commercial or environmental services settings Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning Familiarity with cleaning equipment and supplies, including vacuums, buffers, extractors, and eco-friendly cleaning products Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following safety procedures Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks over extended periods Excellent time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently within scheduled timeframes This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a clean and healthy environment while developing your skills within the cleaning industry.
