Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and techniques including buffing and floor care equipment. Conduct custodial tasks such as dusting, trash removal, window washing, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold high hygiene standards. Maintain cleanliness of industrial or commercial spaces by performing specialized cleaning procedures tailored to each environment. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting touch-ups, or reporting larger issues to maintenance teams. Operate cleaning machinery safely and efficiently, including floor buffers, vacuums, and industrial cleaning equipment. Follow established safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment during all cleaning activities. Support porter duties by moving supplies, setting up for events or meetings, and ensuring all areas are organized and presentable. Requirements Proven experience in janitorial or custodial work with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices. Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning. Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Basic understanding of facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus. Excellent time management skills to complete assigned duties efficiently within scheduled hours.
