Custodian

Smoker Craft, Inc currently has an opening for Custodian ! This position works from our plant in New Paris, IN. S tarting pay is $18.37/hr. and with positive reviews can be increased to $20.37/hr after 60 days . Shift Schedule is 5 am to 2:30 pm, Monday-Thursday and 5 am to 9 am on Fridays for 40 hours a week .

Responsibilities include:

• Clean and sanitize floors, workspaces, restrooms, break rooms, and high-touch surfaces in compliance with health and safety guidelines.
• Collect and dispose of waste materials, recycling, and other refuse from all areas.
• Replenish and maintain restroom and break room supplies as needed.
• Conduct routine inspections and promptly report any maintenance needs or safety hazards.
• Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Collaborate with other facilities staff to complete daily tasks and special projects.

Required skills and experience:

• Valid driver s license.
• 1 year of custodial/janitorial experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, bend/stoop, and walk/stand/move continuously throughout the day.

Flexibility:

Company events may require hours outside of this schedule such as evenings and weekends. This is typically during a dealer show in August.

Schedule:

• 9-hour shift Mon-Thu, 4-hour shift on Friday
• 5 am to 2:30 pm, Monday-Thursday
• 5 am to 9 am
