Sexton's responsibilities shall include: • Provide housekeeping services and basic maintenance of the church building including: Vacuum and clean hallways, offices, Gathering Space, cloister, sanctuary, classrooms, sacristy, etc. Clean all toilets and sinks in bathroom s including walls and floors. Treat floor drains monthly to prevent buildup and odor. Fill all paper towel and toilet paper holders. Gather trash and assure proper disposal or recycling. Clean and mop the kitchen regularly. Sweep and mop all tile floors weekly or as needed due to use and/or traffic. Scrub, and re-seal as needed. Dust offices, sanctuary and classrooms weekly. Clean and polish windows at all entrances, offices and the sanctuary weekly. Order and maintain adequate cleaning supplies within the annual budget through parish administrator or Junior Warden. Other related duties as assigned. • Facility Maintenance Functions Change filters and light bulbs as needed. Ensure all exit doors & locks, exit lights and emergency lights are operational.

Snow Removal:

Remove snow from building entrance and salt entrance areas when ice appears. • Set-up and/or break-down (tables & chairs) as requested according to the parish activity calendar •

Special Projects:

Clean, organize and maintain the equipment room s and janitor closet Annually clean light fixtures reachable by 8' ladder. • Initiate appropriate response to any emergency situation as deemed necessary to safeguard the condition of the building. Position includes paid vacation, holidays and sick time. Background check required. Safe Church Child Abuse Prevention (recertification every 3 years) and Adult Sexual Harassment Prevention (recertification every 3 years) are required. Note that the church across the street will be looking for a similar part-time person in the near future. St. Andrew's and First Presbyterian are able to coordinate work times for both positions.
