What they do

A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Continuously Hiring Responsibilities:

1. Maintain a safe and clean environment within the facility and school grounds you are assigned. 2. Preventive maintenance as assigned. 3. Perform duties as assigned by the Head Custodian. 4. Maintenance and general care of all equipment and facilities. 5. Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal and/or Head Custodian.

Principal Head Custodian Compensation:

Based on Classified Employee Salary Scale - $12.50 per hour

Duration:

Substitutes needed as soon as possible

Qualifications:

1. The preferred candidate will have a high school diploma and/or GED- although it is not required. 2. The preferred candidate will have experience in maintenance/custodial work. 3. The preferred candidate will have the skills to work collaboratively and cooperatively.
