Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking energetic and dedicated Inside & Outside Porters to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of cleaning, custodial, and maintenance tasks both inside and outside the facility. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure that our premises remain pristine, well-maintained, and inviting for staff, visitors, and clients alike. This position offers a dynamic work environment where your efforts directly contribute to the overall safety and appearance of our property. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and disinfecting all designated areas inside the facility. Maintain exterior cleanliness by sweeping walkways, parking lots, loading docks, and clearing debris from outdoor spaces. Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as shower and restroom sanitation, replenishing supplies, and ensuring all common areas are tidy and presentable. Carry out custodial responsibilities like floor care—including buffing, polishing, stripping, and waxing floors—to uphold high standards of cleanliness. Assist with general facilities maintenance including minor repairs, painting touch-ups (residential or commercial), and reporting larger issues to maintenance teams. Support industrial cleaning activities when required, including cleaning large equipment or specialized areas. Ensure safety protocols are followed during all cleaning and maintenance activities to prevent accidents or hazards. Experience Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred. Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning is advantageous. Experience with industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance tasks is a plus. Knowledge of proper cleaning products and equipment usage to ensure effective sanitation while maintaining safety standards. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness and safety standards across all areas.
