What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
General Cleaner -3134 (Custodial)

Shifts:
6AM to 2:30PM 2:30PM to 11PM 6PM-11PM for
Part-Time Junction City, KS Area Essential Functions:
+ Sweep, mop, dust and vacuum
+ Cleaning of restrooms, classrooms, offices, athletic rooms, other rooms and areas of schools
+ Low and high dusting of walls, vents, screens, furniture, drinking fountains, light fixtures, window blinds, strike plates on doors and other chrome and interior fixtures
+ Wash interior and exterior windows and glass doors
+ Sweep, Mop and Vacuum entryways and mats
+ Empty interior and exteriors trashcans
+ Assist in set-up for events inside specified rooms as directed
+ Notify management/supervisor of needed repair work
+ Notify management/supervisor of supplies needing replenished
+ Organize custodial closets as needed
+ Additional job-related duties as required by the supervisor
Job Requirements:
+ Excellent work history.
+ Team focused approach requiring ability to work with others and take direction.
+ Physically demanding fast-paced environment requiring ability to work efficiently with attention to detail.
+ Reliable transportation.
+ Background check required. Minimum Qualifications +
Education:
High school degree preferred, but not required. +
Experience:
Previous cleaning experience a plus. +
Physical and Working Conditions:
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push and pull.
+ Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
+ Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks with production and service time frames as established by the company.
+ Ability to work with various temperatures extreme from hot to cold. HES HES Optional daily pay
