ABM Industries is seeking a Custodial Cleaner to support our Facilities & Maintenance team in delivering safe, clean, and welcoming environments for clients across commercial, education, healthcare, and industrial settings. In this role, you will perform routine cleaning and disinfection of restrooms, offices, classrooms, corridors, and common areas; sweep, mop, vacuum, empty trash and recycling, and restock supplies. You will safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment, follow strict safety and PPE protocols, and report maintenance or safety issues. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning of restrooms, breakrooms, offices, corridors, and common areas Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect high-touch surfaces and fixtures Empty trash, recycling, and dispose of waste safely and according to site procedures Re-stock supplies such as soap, paper products, and liners as needed Operate basic custodial equipment (vacuums, floor machines, carts) safely and correctly Follow all ABM and client safety, PPE, and chemical handling protocols Report maintenance needs, safety hazards, and unusual conditions to supervisors Support special cleaning projects, event setups, and seasonal deep cleans Communicate courteously with clients, visitors, and coworkers to support service standards Adhere to schedules, quality expectations, and security procedures for assigned areas Required Skills Commercial cleaning Floor care (sweep/mop/buff) Use of cleaning chemicals and supplies Operation of custodial equipment Infection control/sanitization Trash and recycling handling Safety and PPE compliance Time management Basic English reading of labels/signs Customer service in facilities
